Students receive the right to work in state hospitals after completing their MBBS course. The MBBS courses are offered by all medical colleges in the Philippines with the exception of BS and MD courses (i.e. Students who qualify for the pre-medical course and the 18-month BS course) and candidates must take the Nmat test before participating in the other courses of the MD programme.

For science grades, students must have good grades in English subjects. Indian students must qualify for the NEET exams, which are run by the National Testing Agency.

Students must have passed the 12th standard by achieving more than 50% of the minimum grades in physics, chemistry, biology or equivalent classes. Applicants must be at least 17 years old by 31 December of the admission year.

To be admitted to Davao Medical School, students must pass the NEET exam. In the Philippines, students must take the NMAT exam before being admitted to medical school. After completing the Nmat exam, students can be transferred to their chosen college to study their MD course.
